Check out these metering skids we built for a chemical manufacturer to transfer flammable chemicals onto tankers. The skids consisted of a Blackmer Magnes pump coupled to a Nord gear reducer and WEG explosion-proof motor. The Blackmer Magnes pump pumped the chemicals through a TCS meter with an auto-shutoff. The pump was controlled with an explosion-proof motor starter panel. The skid also featured Bi-Torq 3-way valves that would allow the meter to be bypassed and the pump run in reverse to strip the lines. A Fulflo pressure relief valve was installed for the pump’s protection. All schedule 40 stainless steel piping was welded and mounted on a powder-coated steel base plate with forklift pockets to be portable.
