We recently built these two Cornell Pump STX-Series self-primer pump skids for pumping wastewater at a food processing plant. The 6″ STX-Series pump is designed to pump 800 gpm at 25 feet of head while the larger 8″ STX-Series pump is designed for 1,200 gpm at 25 feet of head. Both pumps were fabricated using stainless-steel square tubing and Toshiba motor mounts. The Toshiba motors power the pumps using V-Belts to control the speed at which the pump will run, so we also fabricated a stainless-steel belt guard.
Cornell STX-Series pumps can be used in a multitude of applications and come in sizes ranging from 2″ up to 10″, with a max flow rate up to 4,200 gpm. They are built with an oversized bearing frame to extend the life of the pump and designed to be flange-to-flange interchangeable with leading competitors.
