Gear Pumps

Gear Pumps

Oberdorfer offers helical gearing, a method in which the gears are cut on angle to the face of the gear.  This allows for more material contact, resulting in a greater degree of material customization and hydraulic range and a quieter running pump. So, whether your design calls for an external gear pump, pedestal mount, clutch driven, motor mount or stainless steel gear pump, you can rest assured that Oberdorfer’s family of gear pumps is as diverse as the applications in which they’ve been used.

Centrifugal Pumps

Centrifugal Pumps

Oberdorfer Centrifugal pumps are of the single stage and end suction. Models use open vane style and enclosed style impellers. Centrifugals convert driver energy to kinetic energy in a liquid by accelerating it to the outer rim of a revolving impeller. Provide up to 20 feet of suction lift and can handle most difficult solvents with the proper fluoroelastomer or Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal.

  • Self Priming Centrifugal
Flexible Impeller Pumps

Flexible Impeller Pumps

Impeller pumps are used mainly in grey water and black water transfer, engine cooling, baitwell and air conditioning along with other essential functions on boats and ships. General description are pedestal style or flange mounted. Flexible impeller pumps are designed for general transfer of thin or viscous fluids. Liquids handled by flexible impeller pumps with standard Neoprene impellers are primarily used for fresh or salt water and water solutions.

Progressive Cavity Pumps

Progressive Cavity Pumps

The turning of the helical shaped rotor within the stationary stator creates a progressing cavity similar to a moving piston. Liquid is thus displaced generating a pumping action. Unlike piston pumping, extremely high pressure cannot be created because the stator is made of Nitrile and is flexible. Because of this flexibility, contaminated liquids can be handled. High starting torque motors are recommended in order to overcome the high starting friction of the stator.
