Recessed impeller pumps are best suitable for difficult applications such as pumping contaminated liquids with suspended solids and fibers. Our recessed impeller pumps are ideal for a wide range of applications including slurries, fibers, wastewater, and liquids that have soft particles in food processing.
With recessed impeller pumps, the impeller creates a liquid vortex in the open pump casing which directs all spherical solids, slurry, sludge, grit, stringy or fibrous material through the pump without clogging. The one downside of vortex impeller pumps is decreased efficiency.
