Company History

From humble beginnings, Anderson Process has evolved from a small team, in an even smaller street-side office, to a dedicated team operating out of multiple fully equipped fabrication and warehousing facilities in the Midwest.

Originally founded with the mission of providing leading industrial pumps and pump service, we haven’t just grown our headcount. Today, we offer not just pumps, but hose, filtration, process equipment, and even more importantly, the knowledge, expertise and talented people needed to optimize your fluid operations – from start to finish.

Since day one, we have strived to help our customers’ businesses succeed. While a lot has changed since then, the spirit of our core mission remains the same – to enhance the operational profitability of each of our customers by providing expert-driven equipment integration and services that increase production output, reduce maintenance costs and drive efficiency.

The acquisition of Tighe-Zeman Equipment was completed to strengthen our footprint in the state of Wisconsin and Upper Pennisula of Michigan.  Along with footprint strength, it allowed us to strengthen relationships with customers, as multiple Tier One product lines in Mixing, Pumps and Tanks were added.

2023

The acquisition of Neil Dornbusch & Associates was completed to capitalize on complementary product offerings, along with synergistic service and fabrication opportunities. This acquisition helps serve our customer base in western Wisconsin, along with growing our green space to Minnesota, Iowa, North and South Dakota with a location in New Prague, MN.

2022

The acquisition of Premier Pump Inc. was completed to capitalize on complementary product and service offerings between the two companies and continue Anderson Process’s initiative of becoming one of the Midwest’s largest dedicated process equipment distributors in both size and reach.  The move solidifies Anderson Process in the Ohio market with a location in Cleveland, OH.

2021

The acquisition of American Controls, Inc. in Detroit, MI allowed us to continue growing our green space into other marketing areas that include Michigan and Northern Ohio.  The synergies of Tier One product lines, expanded system design and fabrication capabilities made this an ideal fit.

2017

The acquisition of industrial pump distributor Werner-Todd Pump Company, in Indianapolis, IN and Cincinnati, OH, allowed us to greatly grow our green space while expanding our product offering in process equipment. This increased our ability to serve the states of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

2017

In order to reflect the evolution of our products and services, we reimagined our brand identity and began doing business as simply “Anderson Process” to communicate that we offer a wide range of offerings beyond pumps.

2016

The acquisition of pump and filtration distributor Mid-States Engineering & Sales Inc., in Downers Grove, IL., allowed us to push the growth of our product line as well as increase our ability to compete in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa market.

2012

In alignment with our long-term strategic vision, the purchase of Upper Midwest Industrial Supply Co. (UMISCO) brought an extensive line of leading hose products into our product offering.

2004

The need to clearly and succinctly communicate the nature of our product offering to new markets and new customers inspired us to do business as “Anderson Pump & Process,” a brand identity that carried us for over a decade.

2002

The purchase of Midwest Pumps Sales Inc., based out of Carol Stream, Ill., allowed A.A. Anderson & Co. to compete south of the major Milwaukee-metro area for the first time in company history, and became the first in a series of strategic moves to become the premiere distributor of process equipment in the Midwest.

1999

Alfred Andrew Anderson founded A.A. Anderson & Co. with the mission of providing southeast Wisconsin’s manufacturers leading pump equipment. With seven pump lines and a home-based office, the company quickly grew and moved into its first office in downtown Milwaukee just a year later.
